Heard a few rumblins about .22 mag revolvers , here is a S&W Model 48 with 6" barrel , 6 shot. To me a beauty. Comes in a "dual cylinder model also [ model 48-2 ] so you can shoot .22 LR. I'm a fan of the wood grips and deep bluing over the stainless and rubber grip models. Someday i will get this gun. In the mean time I have a cheap Heritage .22 mag but it's ok and does pack some punch.

That deep, deep bluing (almost black) does go well with the wooden grips - I have to agree.

Before trying to acquire one though, I'd want to fondle - er, i mean handle the beast to see if I like the fit to my larger than average lunch hooks.....
