I seem to stumble across killer deals semi-frequently, so I figured I (or we) could just use this thread as PSA to post em up and help each other in the community out when we them (kind of like an ongoing version of my kryptek thread).

I won't be posting up stuff all the time, just things that jump out at me as a "wow that's a REALLY good deal" type things (so usually ~40% off, unless it's an item that is low markup/rarely goes on sale.

Feel free to post up if you're looking for a deal on something in particular too, we can keep an eye out for each other, life (and this hobby) are expensive enough as is, especially with the holidays coming.

If I need something I'll buy it, if it's more of an object of lust/desire, I'll hold off and wait for a deal that I can afford.

My wishlist:
-Quiet, uninsulated, waterproof pants or bibs (I'm partial to badlands and kryptek, but am also not fussy)
-Self-Climbing tree stand (I know there are one or two others on BSBC interested in one as well)

- - - Updated - - -

Almost forgot:
Todays deal I found is a bit of an oddball, you'll have to watch camofire for it to pop up (looks like they wont be posted until 10ish tonight unless they sold out before I checked at ~7AM?), but they have:

Vortex Diamondback 10x50 Bino's for $155 USD - normally around $330 cad up here, so after the exchange and shipping and so on, you're still saving ~30% on something that usually only seems to go on sale for up to 10% off.

I'm very happy with my Vortex binos, just as clear and bright as my nikon monarchs, but more compact and lighter

My partner has an old man self climber and a ladder stand you could probably get a smoking deal on. Due to health reasons he can't use them anymore....i bet he would sell for less than 50% of retail.

Pretty sure I just saw those binos 100 off here in BC. ..that place Tuchodi works at, can't recall the name just now.

Yea but only if you have access to a store......go online and you will see that most stuff is not available on line.....Another complaint of No Sale Sports....Cabelas is way better as they have most stuff on sale available on line.

If someone is looking for a meat slicer, Cabelas has their all metal 8.5" slocer on for $119, 50% off. I just bought one.

The 10x42's are $100 off at WSS (not sure if online or in store or both?) if that's what you're thinking of?
Also a good deal.

No,not interested in a savage package gun but for around 400 bucks they aren't bad for a new hunter. I did have a Savage weather warrior that I paid less than 800 bucks new for and I have a browning xbolt that I paid less than 800 new for.Rather have both than a Parker hale.
I suppose you would rather have a Savage package gun? Some people can tell a quality firearm when they see it, some can't. ;-)

The Browning doesn't have mauser action with crf....and the x bolt firing pins freeze up in cold weather....but each to their own.

Great deal on gas today in Blaine,,,,,,$2.30 per gallon. Even with the exchange that's a GOOD price! Wish I almost hadn't filled up with gas in Abbotsford last Friday because it was all I could do to squeeze 11 bucks of it into the tank.

Got this last week and have put it to good use this weekend. Sweet Potatoes in the dehy for dog treats, sausage for the homemade pizza, a nice moose roast for sandwiches and half a block of cheese for slices. Never missed a beat and works great!!

Update on this thread

Slicer works great!!! Best purchase for the house in the last year, after the new sink, taps and flooring that have yet to be installed......

For anyone looking for some good deals on outdoor clothing, Cabelas is having a 40% off all their brand name clothing just for today, plus $5 shipping. Just picked up a few things for x-country skiing and cool weather hiking and the wife found some more cloths.....

Cheers

If anyone is looking for a boat right now usedvictoria.com has a LOT of fairly decent boats up for grabs under $2500. Some of them need work obviously, but for the most part the work looks minimal on a good portion of these girls.

The Parker Hale is a great action, built on the MK10 Commercial Mauser from Interarms usually, I have a custom 375 that I built on one. The base PH though usully goes through gun shows under $500.00,,,I havent looked at your ad Jim,,but if its a custom yes its worth more,,I bought a PH Safari Grade in nice shape,,7mm mag for a buddy at the Kamloops show 3 years ago for $400.00,,it was a factory rifle with nothing done to it though.

I have been slowly adding some performance clothing to the closet, replacing old out dated clothing that I started with 20+ years ago.

Here are the two places I have been checking out and shopping;

www.thelasthunt.com - great Canadian place with some pretty good deals on last years stock/colours. Biggest problem is finding your size in the colour you like.

www.liveoutthere.com - free shipping and free returns and some really good deals.

As a follow up to this: it arrived, and they're actually shipping the Moment IV dress kit (same thing but has an aluminum rib spreader too), I reordered a couple more for buddies, they all came as moment IV kits.

I bought something a week or so ago that I thought was a good buy. Even though I can usually borrow one from my school I thought I should own my own and let me tell you,,,,,,when you have one it seems like a "god send" because there's nothing like staying out of the weather when you're on shore cooking or just hanging out.

It's an EASY UP. They can run anywhere from $80 for a P.O.S. right up to a couple of hundred but I'll vouch for the ones they are selling right now at Walmart for $99. My buddy has one that we've already used a half dozen times and it looks like it should pass the test of time. It's made by a company called Ventura,,,,it's 10' X 10' and it takes 2 minutes at most to set it up. All I know is we REALLY needed it on our last two outings because we had a ton of rain.

It goes into its own carrying case about 4' long so storage is awesome.

perhaps you could tell us all about how you really feel about tikka vs browning wes?
I have a bunch of older Tikka's in my possession....have one Browning, a .22 that was my Dad's.....small wink

If/when I put up a Tikka for sale, it brings top dollar and is gone right away..... never have shot anything that fits me so good ans shoot so well right out of the box, even ones that are several decades old still hold top value! Smooth as silt action.....doesn't get much better to me!!:Oh Yeah!: :kewl:

Personally I would take a TIKKA T3 over the BLR hands down any day.......No Doubt in my mind at all......:Na-ahh:
That's what makes he world go round Wes, I wouldn't own a T3 (unless it came in pill form:ROFL: ) but I have a "few" BLRs and love them all.
