Hope to hear the adjustment to the new meds is simply that, and that your system becomes a tad more accustomed to them over a short period of time! Good News regarding the hunt possibilities! Appears your timing is just about bang-on! Enjoy your run up to and in the Boo, and don't be surprised when those familiar surroundings kick your energy level up...

I've got one coat of stain on both the front and back deck - now it decides to drizzle for a few days.... :Doh!: I need a couple of dry days to get rid of the water and a couple more so I can get that second coat on before the rainy weather sets in for good.

Howzabout the drive up to Sicimous and take advantage of the 10% off deal at the Best Western - then head back down the 97A rout and dip a line in Mara Lake or Rosemond Lake or anywhere along the river that looks good as you make your leisurely way southward? After Vernon you might feel loike stopping in at the Gerey Monk winery as you pass by or trying...

Wish you and Denise have a great time! We're heading out just for the one day tomorrow to scout out an area I used to bow hunt several years ago to see how it's changed. Although I'm bringing along the artillery, I don't expect to see much, but as I can't go out after the 24th, I'll take whatever I can. Going to bring along the picnic basket and...

I am currently living in the LML but I have a property on the island in the Cedar area and will be retiring there in a couple years and really looking forward to it. I am a long term coastal boy and could not imagine being away from the ocean for any length of time. I need that ocean smell. You will find that the weather from Cedar to Duncan is probably...

It's not just you. Ladysmith/Cedar/Qualicum/Parksville are the types of areas I'd be looking at. Hop and skip to Nanaimo for all the amenities, low cost of housing (relative to further south). I'd love to live in that neck of the woods (but I have a lot of other hobbies relative to hunting, so I'm fine with prettymuch just going out oct/nov/early dec) ...

I like visiting there, my family has been there since the 20's in the Courtenay area, my Lady's family has roots on Malcolm Island since the 1800's...... I was born in Victoria and have lived all my life on the Island - except for some years when I moved off due to work and circumstances. If I could (and it is why we buy lotto tickets) I'd move back in a heartbeat. Ladysmith is a great place to live and work. Cedar (10 minutes away) is a place where you might be able to find a house with a bit of...

I like the island. I don't love it but it sure beats living in the lower wasteland. Hunting is frustrating and you might feel a bit hemmed in compared to living on the mainland but overall it's a nice place to live

Awesome place to live, ladysmith is a quiet small town, if you like to fish there are many opportunities for salt water fishing, crabbing, prawning etc, more reasonable house prices in the outlying areas. There are those that hate the island and there are those like me that LOVE IT, good luck

The island can be frustrating for hunting. That will drive you nuts. Ladysmith is a small town with decent amenities. Close to Nanaimo, if you bought in the right part of Nanaimo you would be around that 30 minute commute.

There were flashes of competence from the Canucks during the game.... There might just b hope for the future. Doesn't the League foot most of the bill for teams going overseas for games -...
